Last year I helped organise a hens night for one of my best friends with her bridesmaids. I made an invite from scratch (go me!) I really like the pattern Chevron (zig zag pattern) and adore the colours, mustard, grey and teal together so I went with these. Then I wanted to incorporate a cute 'hen' in there too so I made up my own little hen logo.
We set up a little nail bar with the idea being the ladies could come in and relax, do their nails then head on over to the high tea table. I made a cake, macarons and cupcakes and others bought along scones, short bread biscuits, mini quiches, sandwiches and a selection of teas. Later we played some fun (and raunchy) games followed by dinner and a show at Diva's then we hit the town to complete some dares.
Here are some photos from the Hens Night:
Great ideas and beautifully presented!
ReplyDeleteHey Lydia, just found your blog via a link on NZ Girl, and I’ve got to say I love it; there are beautiful and very tempting treats on every page! I was just wondering if you would please post the recipe for the neenish tarts you made for your friends hens party? My fiancĂ© loves these and I would love to be able to (attempt to...) make them for him :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely compliments!
ReplyDeleteI didn't actually make those tarts, I only made the macarons, cupcakes and cake. I did have a little look online and I like the look of this recipe: http://www.nzchef.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=101&Itemid=56
Hope that helps! Let me know how they turn out...hmm maybe I should try making them some time too!
This is too cute! I love the colours that have been used. Thanks for all the fab ideas and inspiration :)
