Wedding Cookies

Well it's day four of my holidays and I haven't managed to actually bake anything yet!

This weekend I have a family afternoon tea and home group at our house so I'll be busy in the kitchen then.

Until then I'll have to show off these adorable cookies I made for a friend of mine a couple of months back.

Wedding Cookies

Sarah's wedding theme colour was a lovely lilac colour and she asked for cookies to match.

I baked about 90 sugar cookies and picked out the best ones (some were a little browner than others!)

Once the cookies were cool I painted a tiny amount of corn syrup on to each cookie and stuck a light purple fondant heart on the cookie. I then pressed the letters in to read SARAH & ROMAN using a letter impress set.

This was the first time I had ever made such a bulk amount of cookie, so luckily for me, Mr S came to the rescue and helped out.

We made a little production line and slowly but surely we produced 75 decorated cookies wrapped in cellophane bags with little lilac bows.

Thank goodness for husbands right?!

  1. These are super cute! Did you press the letters in individually?! Or did you make a stamp with them?

    1. Thanks Jane! The letters come with a little slide thing to put them in, but because I had two words and were making so many Mr S cellotaped one name in place and made another slidey thing for the second name -he was very helpful!
