The Auckland Food Show 2013

Yesterday I was lucky enough to be asked to work for Love Cake at their stand at the Food Show.

I say lucky enough because as a matter of fact, I go to the Food Show every year. This was my first time attending on a preview day.

I had such a blast handing out samples of gluten and dairy free cake while sampling a few for myself.

I got a few chances to wander around the show and sampled some delicious foods, everything from olive oils, breads, fudges, marshmallows, drinks, sausages and cheeses. De-lish!

I decorated a little Love Cake chocolate cake with pink dairy free buttercream in a rose swirl. People thought the cake was amazing, even though it took me all of 5 minutes to decorate! Too easy!

I'll be back on Saturday morning to hopefully do some decorating demo's of how to decorate cakes with the simple rose swirl technique.

I had such a lovely time today, meeting lots of new people and finding new products to love. I even got a special gift from a lovely Lydia Bakes reader, Katyanne. Thanks for the macarons!
